Caldic announces agreement to acquire Scott Chemicals

Rotterdam, The Netherlands, October 22, 2021 - Caldic B.V. today announced to have entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Scott Chemicals, a solution provider of specialty chemicals for industrial and life science applications. This transaction will help accelerate Caldic’s strategy to drive growth in attractive markets in Asia Pacific.

In almost 30 years, Scott Chemicals has established a strong position in the Asia Pacific region. The fast-growing company is known for its outstanding value-add solution offering in industrial markets, including coatings & adhesives, plastics & rubber and life science such as food and personal care. Their strength lies in meeting customer-specific requirements, through customized formulation support and dedicated mixing and blending capabilities.

This transaction allows Caldic to significantly strengthen its presence in New Zealand and China, while expanding into new geographies such as Australia and the Philippines. Moreover, it underlines Caldic’s ambition to become a leading value-add solutions provider in the Asia Pacific region. The combined organizations are excellently placed to serve the industrial and life sciences markets, reinforcing our commitment to drive innovation and deliver opportunities for supplier partners and customers alike. For Caldic, this is the second acquisition in Asia Pacific within two years. In 2019, Caldic acquired DCM Asia, now known as Caldic Malaysia.
