Building lasting partnerships with principal players

The LATAM team behind our coatings, adhesives, solvents, and construction (CASC) portfolio was thrilled when longtime principal Braskem awarded them with the Best Solvent Distributor Award, 2024.

A partner for nearly two decades, the producer of thermoplastic resins – the largest in the Americas – biopolymers, and other petrochemical products, Braskem’s recognition holds a special place for us. Head of Business Unit for CASC, Felipe Picinini, and the team have been servicing them for a long time. 

“Our mutual focus on customer centricity and safety, along with a clear commercial strategy, has made our partnership with Braskem tick,” explains Felipe.

Last year, the team set targets to develop the business further. One of them was to increase our customer base by 10%. “Keeping our grip on market trends, anticipating customer needs and challenges, delivering the material in smaller-sized as drums and IBCs, and also offering capillarity logistics – efficient distribution in busy, hard-to-access urban areas – made for some very happy customers,” says Felipe.

 

The Brazilian team surpassed its target and acquired 15% more customers!

 

Another equally important target was to ensure that there were zero safety incidents while handling the material. Solvents are generally known to be hazardous and toxic materials, and the teams ensure that every person managing them has zero exposure. This was achieved through a detailed risk assessment, administrative controls, training, emergency plans, and continuous monitoring from the relevant teams.

“Together, we made sure that key industries in Brazil can access essential solvents for their market needs," says Felipe. "This accolade is more than recognition; it reflects years of dedication, innovation, and an ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction and sustainable practices."
