The shift towards naturally sourced and eco-friendly products has been a concurrent trend across the markets and skincare and cosmetics are no different. Consumers are seeking products that are both effective and have minimal environmental impact.

 

Upon examining our extensive portfolio in the industry, we identified a need to expand our offerings to serve our customers and stay on top of new developments. Coincidentally, an Asian supplier looking to develop business in Germany had exactly what we needed.

Alkyl polyglycosides (APGs) are surfactants used in personal and homecare applications. The product range is skin-friendly, especially for sensitive skin, easily degradable, and sourced from renewable raw materials. This makes it a valuable addition to our portfolio as we wanted to expand our range of surfactants and emulsifiers.

 

After ensuring the APG from the supplier complied with legal and industrial standards such as Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and COSMetic Organic and Natural Standard (COSMOS), our teams began promoting the range of projects. The experience of our R&D team was crucial in its commercialization. They proposed the possible end applications to our customers and supported them in every phase of product development. Backed by our commercial and technical teams, we were able to promote the product and support the Asian supplier to successfully grow their business.
