From our humble beginnings producing vitamin blends under the Daminco brand in 1989, our North American operations have grown through strategic acquisitions to become a leading force in the life sciences, personal care, and biopharma markets.
In 2000, four prominent, North American food and nutrition companies merged to form Acatris/Nealanders, which set the stage for future expansion. In 2012, Caldic BV recognized the potential of Nealanders and acquired the business, further strengthening our presence in the market. This acquisition marked the beginning of our integration into the Caldic family.
Our growth continued with the acquisition of The Ingredient Company in Canada in 2015, followed by Harold T. Griffin in 2018, which enhanced our blending capabilities. That same year, we expanded further into the U.S. with the acquisition of Cooperative Purchasing. In 2022, we made a strategic leap with the acquisition of Avatar (Caldic UP), which broadened our expertise in release agents, lecithins, and oils.
