About Us

Caldic’s journey in Latin America began in Guatemala as Grupo Transmerquim.

In 1982, we started operations in Guatemala City – Amatitlán, becoming Caldic’s first affiliate in the region.

This milestone is especially meaningful, as one of our founders was Guatemalan, connecting us deeply to the roots and entrepreneurial spirit that continue to define us today.

We began with thinner production, and since then, we have continued to grow.

Currently, in Guatemala, we operate plants in Amatitlán and Santo Tomás, as well as offices in Guatemala City.

In Guatemala, our main sectors and growth areas include thinners, paints and coatings, agrochemicals, adhesives, construction, among others.
