Sustainability you can trust

Caldic holds a Platinum rating at Group level from EcoVadisthe globally renowned sustainability assessment platform. It evaluates performance across environment, labor, ethics and procurement. With 20 local entities rated Platinum and 16 rated Gold, placing us in the top one percent globally, our results reflect the strength of our ESG strategy.

From responsible sourcing to smarter logistics, every rating reflects our people-driven approach to building more resilient, lower-impact operations. Because we care, we embed accountability into how we lead, innovate and partner.

Advancing decarbonization across our value chain

Committed to science-based climate action, we are aligning our sustainability strategy with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to support the global transition to a low-carbon economy. Our focus is on reducing Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions across our operations and value chain. As part of this commitment, Caldic is accelerating the reduction of CO₂ emissions by increasing its use of renewable energy. In February, we took our most significant step yet by securing a certified volume of renewable electricity through Energy Attribute Certificates, which will provide an average of 3,530 MWh of renewable energy annually through 2030. This initiative is expected to reduce our Scope 2 emissions by approximately 10,000 tonnes of CO₂ by 2030 and complements ongoing energy-efficiency programs across our global operations. Through clear targets, measurable progress, and transparent reporting, we are building a more sustainable future while supporting global efforts to limit climate change.

Advancing Environmental transparency through CDP

After establishing our ESG baseline in 2024, 2025 marked a significant step forward in advancing sustainability across global operations. As part of this progress, Caldic joined CDP, a leading non-profit that enables organizations to measure and manage their environmental impact. In our first-ever submission, Caldic achieved a B score, the highest possible rating for companies not opting for full public disclosure. This initial assessment focused on benchmarking performance and identifying areas for improvement, highlighting the growing maturity of Caldic’s environmental management approach and reinforcing our commitment to transparency, responsible growth, and long-term sustainability leadership.

Sustainability at Caldic is deeply rooted in our day-to-day practices. It’s about turning values into action and creating long-term impact across our life science and material science business.

Driving responsible growth through global standards

Since 2023, we have been a signatory of the UN Global Compact, committing to support its Ten Principles covering Human Rights, Labour, Environment, and Anti-Corruption, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This initiative aims to reduce inequalities and build more resilient supply chains by ensuring a living wage across our workforce. We have developed a detailed roadmap to achieve our goal of 100% living wage coverage across our global organization as quickly as possible. We also support the UN Sustainable Development Goals and are a signatory of both the UN Global Compact and the Responsible Global Care Charter. Our strategy focuses on reducing risk, improving transparency, and creating opportunities for all stakeholders.
