Caldic releases the 2024 Sustainability Report and commits to SBTi

August 5, 2025, Rotterdam, The Netherlands - Caldic BV has released its 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting an 11.6% decrease in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a nine-point increase in renewable electricity sources since 2023. The report provides a comprehensive documentation of implemented actions and frameworks, and sets targets to improve our performance, reaffirming our commitment to embedding sustainable practices across the organization.

A collective effort was made across the company to bring about positive changes in workforce engagement and safety, operations, product portfolio, governance, and external stakeholders. In its operations, for example, Caldic has invested in state-of-the-art infrastructure to expand its offerings in the life science markets while developing its portfolio with a wider range of circular products. Other key accounts of significant progress include an expansion of diversity and inclusion programs, striving towards a balanced workforce, tight governance and compliance policies, and strict guidelines and tools for workplace safety.

The progress is evident through the performance in the EcoVadis Sustainability Assessments, with 13 entities receiving Platinum ratings while Caldic Group achieves a Gold rating.

Apart from detailing the actions and progress, the organization sets its sights on the future. Caldic has committed to setting near-term company-wide emission reduction targets in line with climate science with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The SBTi is a corporate climate action organization that enables companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis. The commitment will be published on the SBTi website on August 7.

Recognizing the urgency for strict climate action, the Caldic Sustainability Report also outlines the ESG Strategy 2030, to implement sustainable, responsible, and innovative practices with the aim of positively impacting our people, business partners, and our communities.

“The 2024 Sustainability Report is a reflection of our commitment to integrate sustainability principles in our organization in an increasingly complex global landscape. Our teams have worked hard to track our progress, and I am certain that our commitment to SBTi and the defined ESG Strategy 2030 will help drive meaningful change in our operations and communities.”
