Sun protection is taking center stage in the rapidly evolving skincare market - for both health-conscious consumers and the brands that serve them. With rising demand comes pressure to deliver, and for Caldic, it means being prepared for every eventuality.
“We had a customer come to us in a tight spot,” recalls Rosanna Weston, Sales Leader, Health & Personal Care, at Caldic Europe. “Their supply of organic, chemical UV filters had hit a wall due to delivery issues. Without a new supplier, their product wouldn’t hit the retail shelves in time.”
Finding a replacement supplier on time was not the only challenge. “They had to meet strict certification criteria, including the coveted Nordic Swan Ecolabel. That kind of paperwork doesn’t happen overnight,” she explains.
Thanks to our extensive global supplier network and a team well-versed in procurement and regulatory support, a new supplier was identified. But the race wasn’t over yet.
“Getting the Nordic Swan Ecolabel was an ordeal,” says Rossana. “The documentation was exhaustive. But our team worked hard and with some serious coordination, we made it happen just in time.”
The result was twofold: their customer received the certified UV filters they needed, and the now-accredited supplier had gained access to new markets.
This is how Caldic brings real value. Rosanna adds, “We don’t just deliver products. We build bridges between markets, businesses, and regulations. This makes our approach unique.”
“Our work didn’t just stop with supporting the customer. We helped our supplier unlock opportunities in other regulated markets. It was a win on both sides.”
