Singapore - Caldic announces the appointment of Claire Wang as Regional Director, North Asia, and Managing Director, Taiwan, effective 8 April 2026. Based in Taipei.
Claire brings more than 20 years of outstanding leadership experience across the chemicals and electronics sectors, with a strong track record in both distribution and manufacturing. Most recently, she served as Regional President at Brenntag, leading the Essentials business across Asia Pacific with full P&L responsibility. Her prior roles including Managing Director of Brenntag Taiwan and multiple senior leadership positions at BASF across Taiwan and Germany reflect her ability to drive growth, transformation, and strategic impact in complex markets.
Claire led BASF’s Electronic Materials business as a director in Taiwan, overseeing a broad electronics portfolio (IC, FPD, memory, packaging, photovoltaics, and metal injection) and securing #1 market share while leading cross-functional teams. Claire also brings valuable semiconductor industry exposure from her time at TSMC, one of the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturers with a strong focus on advanced chip technologies, including AI chips, further strengthening her understanding of high-tech and electronics-driven markets. Her deep industry expertise, regional perspective, and proven leadership make her exceptionally well positioned to accelerate our ambitions in North Asia.
