Caldic, a global distributor and development partner for ingredients and specialty chemical solutions, today announces a new partnership with Wanhua Chemical for the Nordic region.
Through the collaboration, Caldic will bring Wanhua Chemical's waterborne resin technologies and complementary additives to customers across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland, supported by Caldic's local commercial expertise and European formulation and application capabilities.
Wanhua Chemical has built a strong position in its home market and is expanding rapidly internationally through continued investment in technology, application development and global supply capabilities. Its waterborne portfolio addresses key requirements in today's coatings and CASE markets, including high performance, lower-VOC formulations, sustainability and reliable supply.
The partnership combines Wanhua Chemical's technology platform with Caldic's Nordic market knowledge, customer relationships and technical expertise. Customers will be supported across architectural and industrial coatings, adhesives, sealants and construction applications.
The Nordics are among Europe's most demanding markets when it comes to sustainability, regulatory requirements and technical performance. Wanhua brings a very strong and competitive technology platform for these markets. By combining this with Caldic's local customer knowledge, formulation expertise and our Ingrentia capabilities, we can support customers from product selection through application development and, where required, customized product solutions. This creates a very strong foundation for our partnership.
An important element of the cooperation is Caldic's Ingrentia platform in Barcelona, located close to Wanhua Chemical's European R&D activities. Through Ingrentia, Caldic can support customers not only with formulation development and application expertise, but also with customized, customer-specific product solutions where standard technologies do not fully meet application requirements.
The Nordic market presents strong opportunities for waterborne coating technologies, particularly as customers continue to focus on performance, sustainability and reliable solutions. Through our partnership with Caldic, we can combine Wanhua Chemical’s technology and product expertise with Caldic’s local market knowledge and application capabilities.
