Caldic appoints Torsten Walz as CEO, Caldic Europe

Torsten Walz brings over 20 years of commercial, financial, and operational experience in the specialty chemical distribution business in various European countries, including Italy and the Nordics. Until recently, Torsten held the position of Global President, Pharma, Brenntag Specialties, where he led the worldwide organization supporting the pharmaceutical industry. Concurrently, Torsten was also Senior Vice President, Strategy and M&A, at Brenntag Specialties. Prior to these key leadership positions, he served as Regional President, Brenntag Nordic, Regional CFO, and Country Manager. Torsten has thorough experience and deep market knowledge in the life science and material science markets. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern.
