The IT team is regarded as the Caldic information systems distributor to provide innovative solutions to internal and external Caldic stakeholders at all Caldic entities to drive their business.

Whereas Caldic Group IT is providing common application services to support and facilitate Caldic’s operative processes, Regional -IT is to provision these services to be deployed at every Caldic entity in the region they represent.

In this new position of Data Quality Specialist within Group IT you will:

Provide insight in the current quality of data
Report on the quality of data and work with the data owners / data stewards to improve the quality through data cleansing and enrichment
Support the business / key initiatives to improve the quality of data required
 

Job position

The Data Quality Specialist is part of Group IT and will report to the Manager Data Management.

The Data Quality Specialist is the linking pin regarding the quality of the data for all IT systems and will liaise with both Global IT Competence Center teams (e.g. CC-CRM, CC-AX, CC-BI) and regional product/system owners cq Subject Matter Experts / Data Stewards.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Tracking and monitoring of KPI's through data quality reports and dashboards
  • Performing root cause analysis and determine appropriate way forward together with the Manager Data Management
  • Work on continuously improving the data quality within Caldic
  • Drive data quality improvements
  • Maintain / Update the Caldic Business Glossary
  • Assist with the development of data quality (business) rules
  • Assist with the implementation of the Data Quality Framework
  • Ensure data compliance and security under GDPR

About you

What we are looking for

Knowledge and experience

  • Able to fully grasp the complexity of data management as well as a strong understanding and ability to mastering data management, databases and data analysis procedures & technologies.
  • Familiarity with modern data management, database and information system technologies
  • An understanding of the principles and practice for effective Data (Quality) Management
  • An appreciation for the drivers & benefits of Data (Quality) Management
  • Ability to work across multiple initiatives concurrently
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (or University) degree (BSc/BA) from an accredited university or college in computer science or equivalent relevant field
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving (number crunching) skills.
  • A hands-on mentality and pragmatic approach
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position. But also young graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in English both written and verbal, working knowledge of Dutch
  • Experience working in an international organization
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience is considered as an advantage
