As a QHSE Coordinator you will be responsible for both the administration and upkeep of existing Quality, BRC, Health & Safety and Environmental policy and procedures, as well as customer and supplier documentation. Your role will include

  • Review of specifications, requirements and technical documents
  • Review and update policies, procedures and risk assessments
  • Provide prompt and valuable feedback to customers and suppliers
  • Carry out specific tests on incoming products and retain samples
  • Prepare and send customers certificates of analysis, when required
  • Investigate the causes of non-conformances  and implement CAPA
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality systems
  • Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste reduction and continuous improvement throughout the business
  • Completion of customer questionnaires
  • The management and upkeep of supplier and customer documentation
  • Carry our internal audits against the company’s business standards (ISO9001, ISO14001 & BRC)
  • Knowledge based input required in topics such as REACH, BREXIT, Chemical Industry Best Practices and COMAH

The role requires exceptional interpersonal qualities. You should be able to relate to customers and colleagues at all levels. This role would suit, but not limited to, an individual starting a career in QHSE with a positive outlook to progression within a growth industry or a more experienced candidate that seeks a less senior role.

 This position will report in to the QHSE Manager       

About you

The candidate that we are looking for is organized and customer orientated and should have an entrepreneurial and “can do” approach to business with good communication and presentational skills.Your personality should be described as enterprising, enthusiastic and energetic.  You are required to have accurate reporting skills with attention to detail and an efficient persona. Your method is characterized as solution and results-oriented, and you should have strong analytical and communication skills.   You will act as a full partner for your relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues. In addition to staying  knowledgeable of any changes that could improve quality requirements for our customers, you will need to have:

  • Relevant QHSE experience in a business-to-business environment
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Internal auditor training to ISO Management Systems is essential
  • Experience of chemical distribution would be preferred but not essential
  • HACCP and BRC requirements knowledge or qualification desirable
