Caldic
is a major European producer of Formaldehyde. With two
production plants in the Netherlands - at Zevenbergen
and at Rotterdam Europoort - it presents a capacity
of 265.000 tpa.
At the Europoort site there are also production units
for Paraformaldehyde (30.000 tpa) and Hexamethylene
tetramine (10.000 tpa), both using the local formaldehyde
production as their feedstock.
In addition the Zevenbergen site houses a 30.000 tpa
facility for the production of glycol based Brake Fluids
and Coolant Concentrates.
At Düsseldorf in Germany Caldic is producing under their
well-known brand name Furex 5000 tpa of fire
extinguishing powders and liquids, based on mono ammonium
phosphates, sodium and potassium bicarbonates and alkali
chlorides.
