Head of IT Europe

The Head of IT Europe operates as the primary point of contact for senior Caldic leaders and managers at a regional and local level.  It is a senior IT position that sits on the Global IT Leadership Team reporting into the CIO (career management) and CFO (results delivery) with accountability into the European Leadership Team.


Key responsibilities:

 

 • The main objective of the role is to turn 'strategy into action' by supporting the global cyber security agenda enforcing data management discipline and processes across Europe, aligned with global standards and tools  

• Delivering value and continuous improvement through process, skills, and technology change  managing the European functional application portfolio (support, functional enhancements, new releases)

• Reinforcing the disciplines associated with successful projects (roles, project structure, governance etc.)by acting as the IT advisor, and sponsor  

• Helping to shape strategic regional priorities creating program plans and long term technology investment roadmaps that deliver measurable benefits to Caldic  

• Working closely with regional stakeholders, operating as an internal ‘business consultant’ and ‘business partner’ to drive change and improvement  

• Providing data and insights through decision intelligence tools to assist productivity improvement, margin enhancement and market share gain

About you

Must have:


• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 10+ years of working within an international, matrix-managed organization
Member of Regional or Global Leadership Team
• Managed international 3rd party service providers
• Delivered large scale functional programs – ERP, CRM, HCM

• Held multi-million budget responsibility (recurring annual run costs, non-recurring project costs)
• Contributed to annual and medium-term planning process
• Led the technology aspects of merger, acquisition (M&A), and divestment programs


Desirable:

 

• Developed IT service delivery programs
• Contributed to cyber security improvement initiatives
• Built custom software solutions using agile and waterfall methods and tools
• Led IT transformation initiatives that delivered tangible results
• Contributed to organization-wide and business process improvement activities
