Product Manager - Food Ingredients

The Product Manager is responsible for the development of the sales of the ingredient products in all the various segments (cross-segment focus).

This role must insure the liaison between the suppliers and the sales organisation. The Product Manager implements a sales plan for the product and ensures structured evolution reports to suppliers.

Caldic is strongly committed to deliver supplier and customer added value whilst providing expert advice and expanding our product portfolio in a future driven and sustainably responsible way.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Set strategies for long term growth of products.
  • Influence product sales by identifying cross selling opportunities by working with the CDM to create new opportunities and win new business
  • Driving Pipeline conversion through the Customer Development Managers
  • Insure regular follow up of Product Sales Targets by Customer Development Manager
  • Insure regular contact with supplier
  • Increase intimacy of Caldic with Key Suppliers
  • Organise product training new launches and product refreshers
  • Arrange joints visits with Customer Development Managers.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts and ensure existing agreements are upheld
  • Responsible for the product inventory (level / stock rotation according to sales)
  • Develop sales pricing strategy for product groups, define price ranges
  • Check product cost benchmarking and optimize margins
  • Gather product-related market intelligence, e.g., competitive offerings & market trends using Innova and other options
  • Source new products to extend our product portfolio
  • Maintain Product Marketing Portal
  • Influence supplier strategies
