As a Purchaser, you'll be a key player in our dynamic, global team, reporting to the Global Key Account Manager. This role is essential for improving our cost structures and margins through effective international procurement strategies. If you have a knack for understanding the intricacies of global markets and possess a strong ability to negotiate and build relationships, this could be your next big opportunity!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements effective international procurement strategies to meet the company's business objectives.
  • Identifies and evaluates potential suppliers, conducts negotiations, and establishes strong relationships to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including logistics, finance, and operations teams, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  • Conducts market research to stay informed about global market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities.
  • Evaluates supplier performance and implements continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Monitors and manages inventory levels, taking into consideration lead times, demand forecasts, and production schedules.
  • Ensures compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
  • Negotiates and manages contracts with suppliers, including terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
  • Resolves supply-related issues promptly and efficiently to minimize disruptions to operations.

About you

Knowhow:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an international purchasing or similar procurement role.
  • In-depth knowledge of international procurement processes and market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific standards or regulations.

Skills: 

  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility and readiness for international travel.
